Chief Minister Rekha Gupta rolled out a transformative ₹300 crore-plus development package on Sunday, targeting Badarpur, Sangam Vihar, and Deoli in South Delhi. Billed as a pledge for total renewal, the launch events drew large crowds eager for change.
Key features include road overhauls, sewer and drainage reinforcements, potable water enhancements, better street lights, parks, clinics, and banquet halls. In Badarpur (₹85 crore), Gupta spotlighted the aggressive Okhla landfill remediation, vowing transparency, deadlines, and top-notch execution to craft a spotless, secure, futuristic hub.
Sangam Vihar’s ₹115 crore push answers perennial grievances against prior administrations’ failures—crumbling infrastructure and broken vows. Expect wide-scale road fixes, solid waste management, water security, and lane illuminations, uplifting daily life for countless families.
Deoli’s ₹104 crore agenda advances ‘Viksit Delhi’ with new builds, network expansions, pipeline upgrades, aesthetic public spaces, and vital service centers. ‘Your essential demands, long pending, are now in motion,’ the CM stated.
Across venues, Gupta drove home the point: beyond bricks and mortar, this is about empowering lives. South Delhi’s renaissance—from neglect to excellence in hygiene, safety, and amenities—is paramount. MP Bidhuri commended the government’s role in realizing PM Modi’s world-class Delhi vision, thanking Gupta for prioritizing these areas with hefty funds. The ripple effects promise lasting vibrancy.
