President Droupadi Murmu continued the Republic Day fervor by hosting an intimate dialogue with parade participants at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday. This special outreach one day post-celebrations spotlighted the diverse talents that defined India’s 77th Republic Day.

Guests included student delegations from high-altitude Leh, tribal heartlands of Jharkhand, and scenic Jammu & Kashmir. Joined by tribal community members, innovative tableau artists, sturdy tractor drivers, committed NSS volunteers, and sharp NCC cadets, the group shared stories of preparation and pride.

According to updates from the President’s office, Murmu met with tribal invitees tied to the 2026 parade themes, representatives from state tableaus, and various officials. Her words of commendation rang clear: their involvement crafted a resplendent, all-embracing national event.

Preceding this was the prestigious ‘At Home’ soiree on Monday, a staple since 1950 marking Constitution Day. The guest roster boasted PM Narendra Modi, VP C.P. Radhakrishnan, and EU heavyweights Antonio Costa and Ursula von der Leyen, signaling robust bilateral bonds.

The invitations themselves were a hit, adorned with motifs from Northeast India’s vibrant traditions, underscoring cultural unity. In the grandeur of Rashtrapati Bhavan, attendees exchanged Republic Day felicitations, reflecting on a day of military precision, cultural splendor, and democratic joy.

Murmu’s engagement reaffirms her tribal roots and dedication to inclusivity, bridging the gap between high offices and everyday heroes. Such moments foster national cohesion, reminding all that Republic Day thrives on collective participation.
