Pakistan’s counter-terrorism machinery strikes again in Balochistan, vanishing a teacher, a doctor, and a student in broad daylight, a key rights organization revealed Tuesday. These brazen acts fuel a province-wide crisis of forced abductions and summary executions.

Breaking down the incidents, Paank from the Baloch National Movement identified the victims: Sorab resident Ali Ahmad Reki, 40, a dedicated teacher lifted by CTD from Quetta’s Ganj Chowk on January 24. Joining him in oblivion was 25-year-old local doctor Shahjain Ahmad, abducted from the same vicinity that day.

Tragically, 22-year-old student Junaid Ahmad from Sorab was plucked from Quetta’s Children Hospital on Khwari Road on January 23. Families cling to fading hopes amid official silence.

As Baloch voices amplify, the Baloch Students Organization (Azad) timed its global appeal with Genocide Day on January 25, honoring survivors and martyrs of Pakistan’s protracted subjugation. The dossier exposes entrenched abuses: arbitrary seizures leading to unknown fates, ‘encounter’ killings with battered remains resurfacing months later, sadistic interrogations, and crackdowns on expression targeting youth, media, and advocates.

The fallout ravages families, especially women and minors left in limbo. Protest vigils draw state reprisals, while disrupted schooling and employment breed widespread marginalization. Impunity reigns, with zero progress on impartial fact-finding.

BSO’s plea resonates urgently: endorse independent probes, propel the narrative to UN platforms and beyond. Balochistan’s unfolding genocide demands immediate global reckoning, lest more lives dissolve into the void.
