The Samajwadi Party has sounded the alarm on perceived electoral malpractices in Uttar Pradesh’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR), delivering a comprehensive grievance note to the state CEO. Backed by Akhilesh Yadav, SP targets Kasganj, Bahraich, Farrukhabad, and Basti, alleging a pattern of discrimination that hits SP-leaning booths hardest.

Spotlight falls on Kasganj’s initial 200 booths, SP bastions where BLOs slap 12-hour notices on voters but indulge BJP zones. Accusations fly against BLOs for rule-bending, form shortages for fresh registrants, and no field verifications. SP brands certain officials as partisan operatives, demanding their ouster, alongside claims against an MLA’s son orchestrating voter cuts.

Bahraich Nanpara’s Nepalese-origin women, despite valid proofs like ration cards and Aadhaar, are denied over missing marriage papers, potentially barring thousands from polls. SP presses for resolution.

At Farrukhabad’s booth 128, flawed list consolidation from 2003 has Manihari’s 300 voters on deletion lists sans details, while Bangshpura got verified. Reversal through inquiry is SP’s ask.

Basti grapples with 100,000+ error-flagged voters given impossible notice periods. SP wants detailed lists disseminated to parties and agents for aid.

These revelations intensify scrutiny on UP’s voter roll integrity, with SP positioning itself as guardian against what it deems a biased overhaul.
