Wrapping up the two-day AI-centric conclave at Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Governor Anandiben Patel painted a visionary picture of AI’s role in Uttar Pradesh’s higher education. Her closing remarks underscored urgency and responsibility in tech adoption.

In today’s dynamic era, AI adoption is imperative for efficient time and resource management, Patel asserted. It promises heightened precision and openness in education, research, evaluations, and operations—but only if wielded ethically.

She called for proactive student training on responsible use, coupled with stringent regulations for violations. Financially, universities must strategize project proposals to maximize budgetary gains from governments, rather than passive observation.

Patel highlighted untapped research vistas in state universities, empowered by AI for translating texts, multifaceted inquiries, and resolving institutional issues. ‘No limits to research; just unified efforts and defined objectives,’ she motivated, prioritizing AI access for impoverished youth.

AI must empower the marginalized, extending tech benefits to grassroots levels, while upholding purity in educator-learner interactions. Consensus among experts: AI is essential now and directional for future academia.

Sessions unpacked AI in exam systems, paper setting, labs, medicine, studies, and admin. Luminaries from IBM, IIT Kanpur, IGNOU illuminated generative AI, computer vision, sovereign AI, and public projects.

Panels deliberated on AI infra development, teacher capacitation, and research funding avenues. Peers recounted AI-integrated courses, incubators, and employability drives. Dr. Pankaj L. Jani celebrated it as a transformative milestone. Award ceremonies for startups drew over 3,000 virtual attendees from 300+ locations.
