A high-profile courtesy visit unfolded in Lucknow on Wednesday, where an elite eight-member Japanese delegation from Yamanashi Prefecture called on UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityynath. Spearheaded by Deputy Governor Junichi Ishidora, the interaction celebrated the evolving India-Japan partnership.

Amid congenial exchanges, the focus sharpened on PM Modi’s vision for strategic collaboration and the promising UP-Yamanashi alliance. Greeting the visitors, CM Yogi articulated that these ties transcend diplomacy, anchored in core principles like unwavering trust, rigorous discipline, pioneering innovation, and perpetual sustainability.

UP’s dedication to manifesting this vision practically was a recurring theme. The 2024 MoU took center stage, forging pathways for synergy in clean energy domains like green hydrogen, inventive solutions, talent nurturing, and green industrial expansion.

The Chief Minister showcased UP’s strategic investments: state-of-the-art centers advancing green hydrogen research and skills. Complementing this, the 2024 Green Hydrogen Policy creates an investor paradise—transparent, predictable, and supportive—entrusted to UPEDA for execution.

Pride of place went to the YEIDA pilot project’s commercial inception, recognized as a game-changer. Impressed, the Japanese side praised UP’s clean energy strides and pledged to amplify cooperative ventures.

Delving into shared heritage, discussions spotlighted Buddhism’s role and tourism circuits for cultural connectivity. CM Yogi foresaw this alliance blossoming into a powerhouse of green energy innovation, industrial prowess, technological leaps, and vibrant exchanges.
