Thursday’s spectacular passing out parade at CBI Academy, Ghaziabad, celebrated 134 Sub-Inspectors—the most ever—as they completed basic training started on May 15. CBI Director Praveen Sood, the chief guest, praised their grit and the supportive role of families in this achievement.

Training spanned vital domains: investigative laws, anti-graft operations, street crimes, espionage, economic malfeasance, digital felonies, fraud in finance, forensic tools for mobiles, medical forensics, and scientific analysis. Field immersions at CBI offices, law courts, stations, NFSU, AIIMS, SEBI enriched their practical acumen.

The regimen forged elite professionalism, ethical fortitude, rights consciousness, and regimental discipline. Noting the historic batch size and 18 female officers, Sood spotlighted the academy’s fresh 5-star accolade for training prowess. He motivated recruits: ‘Learning doesn’t end here; fieldwork is the true classroom in dynamic policing.’

Tech integration, particularly AI for data crunching, was a key takeaway, balanced by irreplaceable intuition. Awards lit up the stage—Satyavrat Singh for overall and indoor best; Saimitya in cyber ops; Shekhar Baliyan outdoors; Rakshit Kumar for zeal. Sood launched TRACE lab, revolutionizing cyber training with realistic simulations for evidence handling.

The gala featured CBI heavyweights: Special Directors Manoj Shashidhar, Sampat Meena; Additional Directors N. Venu Gopal, A.Y.V. Krishna; and local officials, underscoring the event’s significance in bolstering national security.
