Raipur, January 29, 2026/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai will release the amount of the 24th installment of Chhattisgarh government’s Mahtari Vandan Yojana at a state-level program organized in Narayanpur on January 30. On this occasion, a total of Rs 641 crore 34 lakh will be transferred through DBT to the bank accounts of 68,39,592 eligible women of the state.

It is noteworthy that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana was launched by the Chhattisgarh government on March 1, 2024, with the objective of making women economically empowered and self-reliant. Under this ambitious scheme, married women aged 21 years or above are being provided financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month, so that they can meet their daily needs and live a life of dignity.

Since the launch of the scheme, a total of Rs 14,954.42 crore has been directly transferred to the bank accounts of women in the state through 23 installments. This system is proving to be an effective initiative towards women’s empowerment, along with ensuring financial transparency.

After the release of Rs 641.34 crore as the 24th installment by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the total amount disbursed under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana will increase to Rs 15,595.77 crore. This reflects the state government’s strong commitment towards women’s welfare and empowerment, and it proves that lakhs of women in the state are directly benefiting from the scheme.
