    Friday brought the nation together to honor Mahatma Gandhi on his 78th punyatithi, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the forefront, weaving Bapu’s ethos into the fabric of Viksit Bharat. From New Delhi, this tribute reaffirmed Gandhi’s pivotal role in contemporary nation-building.

    PM Modi’s X message read: ‘Deepest salutations to Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary. Revered Bapu’s Swadeshi focus is the pillar of our developed, Atmanirbhar India pledge. His persona and actions eternally spur us on the duty-bound path.’

    Emphasizing non-violence’s transformative might, Modi quoted sacred verses: ‘Ahimsa is paramount dharma, supreme penance, ultimate truth—source of all righteousness.’ This philosophy, he noted, wields power to reshape the world peacefully.

    Union Minister Piyush Goyal posted: ‘Shat-shat naman on Gandhi’s punyatithi. His truth, ahimsa, and harmony principles guide India and the world to humane paths, fueling service, sacrifice, and ethical bravery.’

    Jyotiraditya Scindia reflected: ‘Homage to the pioneer of Ahimsa paramo dharma, vanguard of truth and compassion. Bapu deemed cleanliness Swaraj’s foundation—pledge for Swachh Bharat to forge his dream India.’

    Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav stated: ‘Respectful tribute to Rashtrapita Gandhi. Through truth, non-violence, unity, you illuminated service to humanity—your life an exemplary chapter in public welfare.’

    Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami wrote: ‘Infinite salutes to the beacon of truth, ahimsa, service. Your life of sacrifice, austerity, nation-service delivers immortal lessons in justice, harmony, peace.’

    These tributes paint a vivid picture of Gandhi’s ideals fueling India’s self-reliance drive, ensuring his martyrdom’s lessons propel ethical progress.
