Giriraj Singh: Supreme Court UGC Stay Vindicates Modi’s Inclusive Policy

Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Monday hailed the Supreme Court’s intervention in the UGC guidelines controversy, framing it as validation of the Modi government’s inclusive ethos. Addressing the press at Patna airport post-ruling, he lambasted opposition for fomenting confusion through baseless propaganda.

“Our heartfelt thanks to the Supreme Court—we embrace its judgment,” Singh stated emphatically. He portrayed the opposition’s response as a desperate bid at mudslinging. “Narendra Modi’s leadership embodies ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ in action. Whether the ache is in the right or left limb, the entire body suffers together.”

In a structured defense, Singh highlighted three landmark steps: parliamentary resolution of SC promotions; constitutional recognition for OBC panel under Modi; and 10% reservation for EWS among general category poor. “These aren’t divisive; they unite for progress,” he emphasized.

Lauding the leadership trio—PM Modi, Amit Shah, and Education Minister Pradhan—Singh said their nation-first approach discomforts political opportunists. “They’re building a developed India, brick by brick.”

The minister reserved sharp words for Mamata Banerjee, slamming her for injecting politics into Maharashtra’s mourning over the Ajit Pawar incident. “A tragedy demands solidarity, not scheming. Mamata’s vote-hungry, society-splitting ideology is outdated.”

This episode underscores deepening fault lines in Indian politics over quotas and education reforms. With the Supreme Court stepping in, stakeholders await clarity, but Singh’s assertive stance reinforces BJP’s narrative of steady, all-encompassing advancement amid partisan noise.
