The quarterfinals of the Senior Women’s National Kabaddi Championship at Hyderabad’s Balayogi Stadium delivered edge-of-the-seat drama, propelling Indian Railways, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, and Himachal Pradesh to the semifinals. Each match highlighted individual brilliance and team synergy in equal measure.

Governing champions Railways overwhelmed Maharashtra 58-23 in the opener. Sakshi emerged as the standout with 10 points, Pooja contributed nine, and defenders Sonali Shingte plus Mandira Sampat Komkar fortified the backline for a comprehensive victory.

Haryana’s demolition of Madhya Pradesh 63-16 stood out for its ruthlessness. Raj Rani’s 17-point haul, Ruci’s 11, and Nikita’s 10 painted a picture of offensive dominance that Madhya Pradesh couldn’t counter.

Quarterfinal 3 was a tense 39-37 triumph for Tamil Nadu over Chandigarh. Karthika R’s pivotal 15 points and Suzy M’s nine were countered by Chandigarh’s Anjali (10) and Monika Rani (seven), yet Tamil Nadu’s tactical edge shone through in crunch time.

Himachal Pradesh sealed their spot with a 48-25 win over Punjab. Pushpa’s leading 16 points and Jyoti’s 12 overwhelmed Simran Kamboj’s 17-point resistance from Punjab, maintaining a steady advantage.

As these formidable outfits gear up for semifinals, the tournament’s intensity escalates, guaranteeing kabaddi at its finest with strategic battles and heroic performances ahead.
