Patna’s political landscape heated up as Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, overseeing Revenue and Land Reforms, doubled down on his anti-corruption offensive. Addressing journalists Friday, he delivered a pointed message to land mafias and rogue elements in his department: clean up your act or face the music.
Unfazed by pressures or threats, Sinha drew from personal triumph. ‘I won my seat by staring down criminals during campaigns,’ he recalled, a lesson hardening his stance against illegal land grabs, intermediaries, and venal officials.
Emulating Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Sinha refused to let mafias or corrupt aides operate freely. He warned that any official impeding probes against land criminals is complicit and prime for action—no one gets a pass.
Sinha reassured upright officers of protection while promising hammer blows to mafia sympathizers. In land reform dialogues with citizens, suspensions will target proven offenders swiftly.
Backed by irrefutable evidence, the initiative seeks to forge transparency and efficiency in land governance. ‘Our government’s strict policy and officer guidelines ensure culprits can’t evade justice anymore,’ Sinha affirmed, heralding comprehensive reforms for Bihar’s benefit.
