A visionary born from adversity, Shivraj Singh Chouhan unveiled yet another milestone in educational equity by opening the CM Rise School in Shahganj, Raisen, on January 30. The Union Agriculture Minister reminisced about his early days in a rudimentary government school in Jait by the Narmada, crediting sheer determination for his success. ‘The poor can’t afford private fees—what future for their children?’ he pondered.

The spark ignited during his COVID recovery in hospital, leading to consultations with education experts and the launch of CM Rise Schools during his CM tenure. These aren’t ordinary schools; they’re paragons of excellence with multi-purpose auditoriums, advanced science and math labs, extensive libraries, dedicated leadership offices, hygienic modular kitchens, sustainable water harvesting, horticultural zones, solar-powered operations, digital classrooms, sports infrastructure including tracks and fields, robust roads, secure parking, and top-grade equipment.

Outshining private schools, these facilities ensure poor, talented students receive world-class training. Chouhan’s mantra: prevent financial barriers from dimming young brilliance. He motivated the faculty toward flawless results and outlined broader support—motorized vehicles for the differently-abled, Street Vendor Scheme aid for hawkers, and PM Vishwakarma benefits for craftsmen.

Madhya Pradesh’s CM Rise network is redefining access to quality education, fostering a merit-based society. Chouhan’s narrative—from village boy to architect of change—fuels hope, demonstrating government’s role in nurturing tomorrow’s leaders.
