Ahead of a landmark state visit by French President Emmanuel Macron, India’s Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu engaged with Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot’s team in New Delhi. The agenda: amplifying air connectivity and pioneering green aviation technologies.

Naidu took to X to announce the ‘honourable’ meeting, detailing brainstorming on bolstering India-France aviation synergy within their enduring strategic framework.

Emphasis was laid on bilateral cooperation for SAF and next-gen air mobility to counter urban expansion pressures and escalating connectivity requirements.

Hailing PM Modi’s leadership, Naidu outlined India’s ambitions to emerge as a top-tier aviation hub, with France aiding in building comprehensive training and skills infrastructure.

India’s aviation sector is a global standout for growth velocity. The recent Wings India 2026 drew French delegates among 20 countries, focusing on sustainable links, eco-strategies, and MRO advancements.

SAF promises to revolutionize emissions reduction as a sustainable fossil fuel substitute, while e-VTOL and drone tech herald urban air transport revolutions.

Rooted in deep partnerships from Rafale deals to civil and space aviation, this dialogue advances shared visions for resilient, innovative air networks serving economic vitality and environmental stewardship.
