BJP MP Yogendra Chandoliya sounded the alarm on Thursday, charging the Mamata Banerjee administration with complicity in the rampant infiltration of Rohingya Muslims and Bangladeshis through West Bengal’s unsecured borders. This, he argued, is eroding India’s demographic integrity and straining national resources.
In a pointed conversation with media, Chandoliya praised nationwide border-sealing initiatives but singled out West Bengal’s 600-km Bangladesh frontier as a glaring weak spot. ‘Secure borders everywhere else, but Mamata’s state lets infiltrators pour in unchecked,’ he fumed, attributing the lapse squarely to state government inaction.
Advocating for mass deportations, the MP underscored the need to halt population imbalances that fuel social tensions. His call resonates with growing public anxiety over migration’s multifaceted challenges.
Chandoliya reserved sharp words for Rahul Gandhi too, criticizing his omission of Assam’s gamucha at the Rashtrapati Bhavan event—a gesture everyone else embraced. BJP views this as a blatant disregard for Northeast honor and presidential dignity. ‘Gandhi’s whims can’t override cultural respect; Northeast won’t forget this insult,’ he declared.
Optimism flowed as he discussed the impending Union Budget. Recalling the last one’s tax relief up to Rs 12 lakh for the middle class, Chandoliya anticipates a visionary plan that marries economic acceleration with grassroots empowerment. ‘The nation trusts this government to deliver transformative gains,’ he affirmed.
