Delhi’s development landscape got a major fillip as Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched over Rs 135 crore worth of projects in Mehrauli assembly on Saturday. Framing the event with religious fervor, she first conducted puja at Mata Yogmaya Temple and sought blessings at Gurudwara Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.
Posting on X, the CM outlined her blueprint: ‘Developed Delhi emerges from empowered neighborhoods and assemblies. Mehrauli is steadfastly progressing, safeguarding its historic essence while embracing modern upgrades.’
She didn’t hold back in critiquing AAP’s tenure, labeling it as superficial. ‘Heritage and public aspirations in Mehrauli languished under their rule, driven by power plays rather than service,’ Gupta remarked. In contrast, her administration’s projects target sanitation, infrastructure resilience, and elevated living standards.
The spiritual prelude at Yogmaya Temple set a tone of divine invocation. ‘This sacred seat represents strength and protection, infusing Delhi with enduring spirituality. May every home be illuminated with joy and health,’ she prayed publicly.
Her gurudwara visit reinforced themes of communal harmony, especially on Guru Har Rai Sahib’s Prakash Purb. ‘Let Guru’s grace foster service and equality,’ she expressed, congratulating the community.
These developments position Mehrauli as a model of balanced growth, where ancient legacies coexist with cutting-edge amenities. The initiatives promise cleaner streets, fortified basics, and a dignified future, embodying the CM’s service-oriented governance.
