Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta celebrated a key achievement in the city’s war on smog: the full deployment of anti-pollution systems at every one of its 143 elevated metro stations. Delivered early, this includes mist sprays and anti-smog guns tailored to site-specific needs.
Prioritizing ground-level action, the government has fitted 131 mist systems and 12 anti-smog units across 89 on-road and 54 off-road locations. This targeted intervention addresses high-traffic zones vulnerable to dust and emissions, directly benefiting public health and air purity.
Gupta’s announcement highlights a dual focus—pollution control paired with aesthetic upgrades. Artistic murals on 50 pillars capture floral motifs, wildlife, and cultural icons, injecting life into the concrete jungle.
‘We’re building a cleaner, more beautiful Delhi,’ the CM declared, envisioning a global-standard capital. She extended thanks to all involved parties, underscoring teamwork’s role in success.
As Delhi navigates its environmental challenges, these innovations exemplify practical governance, promising sustained improvements in livability and setting benchmarks for eco-friendly infrastructure.
