A spine-chilling crime in Bihar’s Bihta, adjacent to Patna, has led to the swift arrest of 21-year-old Rahul Kumar for raping an 8-year-old girl. The perpetrator, a local chocolate seller, exploited his position to lure the child with toffees before perpetrating the assault.
Thursday’s tragedy struck in a quiet village under Bihta thana jurisdiction. Rahul beckoned the young girl to his shop with candy promises, only to subject her to unimaginable horror indoors. The girl’s cries eventually alerted her family.
Her mother wasted no time, storming into Bihta police station with the harrowing account. Officers mobilized instantly, detaining the accused on the spot. ‘The complaint specifies the child was coaxed inside the shop under the guise of chocolates and raped,’ stated Danapur SDPO Amarendra Kumar Jha.
The victim is receiving medical attention, with FSL teams scouring the site for forensic clues. The FIR incorporates POCSO Act provisions alongside SC/ST Act sections, signaling a no-holds-barred investigation.
This outrage has ignited public fury, prompting discussions on safeguarding children from predators disguised as neighbors. Bihta residents are uniting for the victim’s support, while police assure thorough probes and community outreach to bolster safety nets. Such cases demand collective resolve to protect the innocent.
