Veteran Bollywood icon Nana Patekar has once again proven why he’s irreplaceable in the industry. Shooting a pulse-pounding action scene for ‘O Romeo’ amid a blistering 102-degree fever, Patekar’s resolve turned a potential setback into a testament of his legendary work ethic.
Vishal Bhardwaj, the mastermind behind the camera, detailed the harrowing yet heroic day on the train set. The scene called for explosive energy, but Patekar was fighting his own battle with illness. The team hovered anxiously as doctors recommended bed rest. Undeterred, Patekar rolled up his sleeves – or rather, kept them rolled – and nailed the four-hour marathon shoot.
“He wouldn’t let us cancel,” Bhardwaj said, admiration evident in his voice. Such stories elevate Patekar beyond acting; they cement his status as a professional par excellence.
The film’s teaser comes via ‘Ishq Ka Fever,’ a melodic hit from Arijit Singh, Vishal Bhardwaj’s composition, and Gulzar’s poetic words. It spotlights Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri’s magnetic pairing, setting hearts racing.
Rooted in Hussain Zaidi’s explosive ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai,’ ‘O Romeo’ spotlights underworld queens. Shahid Kapoor roars as mafia boss Hussain Ustra, with Triptii Dimri commanding as Sapna Didi. The ensemble boasts Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Farida Jalal.
Backed by Sajid Nadiadwala and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, this thriller-romance hybrid hits theaters February 13, 2026. Patekar’s fever-fueled feat is just the spark fans need.
