Telangana’s political landscape heated up as Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy leveled explosive charges against the Bharat Rashtra Samithi at a Mulugu rally. Addressing Congress workers ahead of civic body elections, he portrayed BRS’s rule as a reign of terror through unauthorized surveillance.
Reddy dubbed BRS the ‘Blackmail Rashtra Samithi,’ claiming they looted hundreds of crores and funneled 1,500 crores into party accounts via phone intercepts. Former CM KCR was accused of power misuse to fabricate fortunes in media, print, and enterprises.
Drawing from BJP MP Konda Visheshwar Reddy’s account, the CM described how entrepreneurs were bugged and pressured to relinquish properties. The tapping net ensnared everyone: rivals, reporters, judiciary members, actors, and personal family dialogues.
Reddy mocked Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy for dodging calls for CBI inquiries into Kaleshwaram and Formula E controversies. ‘He’s KCR’s foster child now, silent on scams but aggressive against Congress leadership,’ he jabbed.
Highlighting Congress achievements, Reddy noted 22,500 crore investments for 4.5 lakh Indiramma dwellings, plus 17,442 crores for municipalities—6,116 crores for old Warangal areas alone. Phase two of housing scheme awaits budget nod.
Countering BRS propaganda on districts, he vowed transparent processes involving public opinion and assembly discussions before any changes, quashing fears over Bhupalpalli’s future.
The CM’s clarion call was clear: Shun BRS and BJP, allies in disguise plotting Congress’s downfall. Despite KCR’s failures—zero homes for millions—Congress is rebuilding Telangana brick by brick. The rally underscored shifting voter sentiments.
