O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) is setting new benchmarks in international education by signing MoUs with 10 top-tier universities from five countries at the recent QS India Summit 2026 in Goa. These pacts are designed to supercharge academic exchanges and research synergies on a global scale.
The lineup boasts Canadian institutions such as University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, Royal Roads University, University of Guelph, and Brock University; New Zealand’s University of Otago; UK’s University of Sheffield and University of Stirling; Egypt’s Delta University for Science and Technology; and Thailand’s Shinawatra University.
Collaborations will encompass faculty and student swaps, co-developed research, academic workshops, and bespoke programs, all calibrated to mutual academic visions.
This expansion catapults JGU’s international alliances beyond 600 in over 80 nations, offering students and scholars elite opportunities for overseas study, professional growth, and cross-cultural academic immersion.
Prof. (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar, Founder Vice-Chancellor of JGU, hailed the development as essential in an interdependent world. ‘Global partnerships extend the frontiers of education and research, yielding societal benefits through innovative knowledge creation,’ he asserted.
Dean Prof. Padmanabha Ramanujam emphasized execution excellence. ‘These agreements lay a solid foundation for impactful research and exchanges, upheld by rigorous standards,’ he noted.
Vice Dean Prof. (Dr.) Akhil Bharadwaj viewed them as a strategic cornerstone. ‘They unlock novel routes for international programs and long-term ties that truly empower our university ecosystem,’ he concluded.
