Unity roared across Arunachal’s rugged trails as the groundbreaking joint motorcycle rally by Indian Coast Guard and Assam Rifles powered to a close at Pangsau Pass on Monday, marking a milestone in inter-service harmony. This ‘From Sea to Mountain’ adventure captivated participants and onlookers alike.
Lt Col Mahendra Rawat, defense spokesperson, described the second phase’s culmination as a beacon of national unity, showcasing effortless collaboration between naval guardians and paramilitary stalwarts. The iconic pass, soaring 3,727 feet in the Patkai Hills along the Indo-Myanmar line and revered as Pan Saung Darra, provided a poignant stage for the rally’s symbolic end.
The journey’s climax unfolded with a ride from Jairampur to Nampong school, featuring lively sessions with youth and villagers. Speakers fired up the crowd with tales of service and sacrifice, while films illuminated the proud legacies and missions of Coast Guard and Assam Rifles.
Officiated by Assam Rifles DIG with a ceremonial flag-off, the finale dazzled with pipe band melodies, souvenir exchanges, and border-spanning conversations embracing Myanmar locals—fostering enduring bonds and peace along the frontier.
This rally stands tall as an emblem of coordinated defense efforts, youth inspiration, and outreach beyond borders, solidifying India’s resolve from oceans to peaks, stated Rawat. Concurrently, Indian Army’s ‘Mission Krishiveer’ debuted in East Siang, Arunachal, via Spearhead Division and ASC at Sigar, aiming to fortify farm-to-forces connections.
