Maha Shivratri brought Gorakhpur to life with spiritual fervor as CM Yogi Adityanath immersed in Shiva-centric ceremonies, praying for Uttar Pradesh’s all-round progress. Starting post-janta darshan at Gorakhnath Math’s Shakti Temple, the rituals featured meticulous Rudrabhishek. Lord Shiva received panchsnan amid resounding Vedic recitations from the Rudrashtadhyayi, followed by earnest supplications for health, joy, wealth, and serenity statewide.
The CM’s pilgrimage took him to Andhiyari Bag’s venerable Mansarovar Temple for darshan and abhishek using milk and water. Vedic mantras filled the air during pooja, panchsnan, havan, and aarti, with attendees including Ravi Kishan and the mayor witnessing the sanctity.
Afternoon saw visits to Bharohia’s Piteshwar Nath Temple, a Gorakhnath tradition on Shivratri. Linked to Pandava legends, the site hosted jalabhishek for humanity’s upliftment. Yogi then engaged the community at Guru Gorakhnath Vidya Peeth, sharing moments with legislators, block officials, children, and athletes – offering blessings and motivation.
These observances highlight Yogi’s unwavering devotion and his ability to weave spirituality into public life, fostering unity and optimism among constituents on this auspicious day.
