Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha painted an ambitious picture on Sunday, asserting that the country’s youth will be the driving force behind India clinching the third spot among world economies by 2030. Addressing an ABVP-organized conclave for tribal students at Ravindra Bhawan in Agartala, he outlined the youth’s strategic importance.
Individuals aged 18 to 35, according to Saha, are the vital spine supporting India’s security apparatus, socio-economic advancements, and infrastructure boom. He tied this to PM Modi’s holistic development philosophy, which harnesses youthful dynamism for collective progress.
The impressive student attendance reinforced Saha’s belief in Tripura’s promising trajectory. He pushed for strengthened student bodies in colleges statewide to amplify their role in shaping the nation’s destiny.
Drawing from history, Saha recalled educational disruptions due to extended instability, now resolved post-2014 under Modi’s steady hand. This has catapulted India to fourth in global GDP rankings, with third position beckoning by 2030.
Emphasizing civic engagement, Saha encouraged involvement in Swachh Bharat and blood donation initiatives. He advocated continuous learning in AI and innovation as cornerstones for a knowledge-centric India. The conference not only boosted morale but also highlighted youth as architects of tomorrow’s economic giant.
