Hosted at Bharat Mandapam during the India AI Impact Summit 2026, the pivotal session ‘Ministry of Education: Pushing the Frontier of AI in India’ featured elite experts. Conversations centered on leveraging policy, innovation, and infrastructure for widespread educational upheaval.
At the event, Minister Dharmendra Pradhan hailed PM Modi’s initiative as a catalyst for India’s AI surge. ‘Global eyes are on us as we swiftly integrate AI,’ he said, envisioning it as the key to knowledge supremacy and the 2047 development milestone.
Targeting the youth demographic, Pradhan linked ‘AI for education’ with ‘education for AI,’ calling it essential for fostering inventive minds. He believes this will spark youth-led ventures, cementing India’s leadership position worldwide.
Minister Jayant Chaudhary described the discussions as invaluable, covering AI’s role across learning stages—from basics to advanced research and international prominence. Pavilions displayed indigenous AI tools already in action.
Reflecting ten years of groundwork via digital tools, reforms, and training, the ministry recently inaugurated an AI Education Centre at IIT Madras. Continuous dialogues have shaped this actionable framework.
The Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave reinforced responsible deployment. Now, the emphasis is on implementation at scale. This tripartite alliance—government, industry, education—seeks to build a resilient system, realizing the vision of a prosperous India by 2047.
