BJP MP Dinesh Sharma didn’t mince words on February 17, declaring the Congress-led opposition as India’s ultimate speed breaker on the path to prosperity. Responding to AI Summit disruptions in an IANS conversation from New Delhi, he accused them of resenting every step of national advancement.
“India’s emergence as a world leader irks them,” Sharma stated bluntly. Their fixation on foreign headlines blinds them to domestic triumphs, like becoming the fourth-largest economy. Instead of backing farmer income-doubling efforts, they stoke protests to halt momentum.
Sharma dissected Congress’s turmoil, pointing to Mani Shankar Aiyar’s outbursts echoing Tharoor and Singh’s critiques. “Disunity in principles spells doom,” he predicted. Modi’s era, however, fosters all-encompassing development, dismantling caste barriers.
Praising Assam’s Himanta Biswa Sarma for constitutional adherence, Sharma refrained from judicial matters. He lambasted Congress and Mamata’s vote-bank appeasement, while BJP delivers unbiased rations and education. “No special treatment—equal justice for Hindus, Muslims alike,” he affirmed.
With India’s growth accelerating, Sharma called for opposition accountability, positioning BJP’s equitable policies as the true driver of progress.
