National Investigation Agency agents sprang into action at Kochi International Airport, detaining Moideenkutty PK, a prime suspect in a high-profile PFI terror conspiracy case. The 3-year absconder from Malappuram, Kerala, was arrested upon arrival from UAE, marking a pivotal victory in counter-terror operations.
As PFI’s physical training coordinator, Moideenkutty orchestrated sessions that NIA says were covers for weapons handling and jihadist indoctrination. He bolted abroad right after the September 2022 case registration, but raids exposed his role in communal incitement and youth radicalization plots.
PFI’s architecture included covert units for reporting, arms drills, and support services, all funneled toward overthrowing India’s democracy by 2047 with an Islamic state. Digital and documentary hauls from his bases corroborated these ambitions.
The agency has prosecuted 65 individuals so far, with pursuits ongoing for others at large. Echoing this, a charge sheet was filed last week against Imtathullah for aiding the PFI gang behind the savage 2019 murder of Ramalingam.
This capture not only plugs a critical gap in the investigation but also exposes the depth of PFI’s infiltration tactics. Law enforcement vows relentless pursuit, ensuring such threats to harmony and sovereignty face swift justice.
