Bengaluru and Delhi-NCR are the undisputed kings of India’s AI employment scene, capturing more than half of all jobs, a new CBRE South Asia report confirms.
Drawing from 64,500+ Naukri.com postings up to December 2025, the study pegs Bengaluru’s share at 25.4%, Delhi-NCR at 24.8%, and Mumbai at 19.2%—totaling nearly 70% concentration in these powerhouses.
Top hiring areas? Software engineering and QA, data analytics, and customer service/ops roles. AI’s reach now extends to business frontlines, per the findings.
India’s ambition shines through: beyond development, it’s mastering AI’s real-world application for international markets.
Real estate feels the ripple effects. Bengaluru’s 26% dominance in 2025 office leases contributed to a massive 82.6 million sq ft volume, alongside leading GCC expansions.
Delhi-NCR boasts robust demand from IT, consulting, fintech, health, and public sectors alike.
“AI is no longer hypothetical—it’s fueling India’s growth narrative,” said Anshuman Magazine, CBRE Chairman and CEO for India, SE Asia, and MEA. “This talent boom signals India’s upgrade from service provider to global innovation hub, reshaping its economic framework and digital stature worldwide.”
The report forecasts sustained momentum, positioning these cities as AI beacons amid India’s tech ascent.
