The event, launched Monday, unites 35,000 delegates from 100+ countries—heads of governments, tech moguls, researchers, and more. Guterres will headline Wednesday’s inaugural address, pushing for accessible AI while highlighting inherent dangers, as pre-announced by his spokesperson.
Under the aegis of the India AI Mission, this pioneering Global South summit pivots AI focus from security concerns to developmental opportunities. It explores AI’s potential in driving inclusive economies, fortified public services, and lasting sustainability. With high-level attendance including 20+ leaders and 60 ministers, the summit continues until February 20.
