Healthcare in Nagpur is poised for exponential growth with the approval of a 350-bed advanced multi-specialty hospital by Quality Care India Limited (QCIL). Situated near Kasturchand Park Metro Station, this facility will elevate standards in Maharashtra’s heartland.
Framed as a PPP with Maha-Metro, the Letter of Acceptance was exchanged amid fanfare at the February 7 Advantage Vidarbha Summit. CM Fadnavis, Union Minister Gadkari, and Dr. Pavan Kumar of Care Hospitals marked the milestone.
The site on 7202 sqm offers vast potential—over 350,000 sq ft built-up area. Pre-done groundwork means a swift three-year build, fueled by QCIL’s 600 crore commitment.
Specialized hubs for cardiology, oncology, gastroenterology, trauma, and neurosciences will anchor the hospital, delivering premium care close to home for Vidarbha’s millions and curbing medical tourism.
Job creation surges with 1500-1800 direct roles, plus indirect benefits. Maha-Metro reaps 1850+ crore over 60 years via structured revenues.
In Varun Khanna’s view, this exemplifies PPPs crafting accessible, urban-synced health systems. It’s vital for scaling capabilities in emerging markets like Nagpur.
Dr. Kumar underscored the imperative of community-focused partnerships in organized care. This move methodically expands tier-2 capacities, enriching Nagpur economically while upholding superior protocols. He thanked visionary leaders Fadnavis and Gadkari.
Blackstone-backed QCIL runs Care Hospitals (1997, Hyderabad HQ), Evercare Bangladesh, and KIMS Kerala. With 17 outlets, 3000+ beds, and 33+ specialties in six states, this Nagpur project amplifies their mission for decentralized, high-quality care ecosystems.
