Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput voiced unreserved support for Youth Congress members who staged a protest at the AI Impact Summit in Lucknow. Describing their action as a legitimate constitutional expression, he said, ‘We stand tall with our activists’ courage.’
Aligning with Akhilesh Yadav’s critique, Rajput launched a blistering attack on the BJP, accusing it of broad-based antagonism. ‘Not one group, but society at large, all religions, and Sanatan heritage are under siege,’ he claimed. He decried ‘impostor Sanatanis’ issuing authenticity tests, alongside reports of coercion against Shankaracharyas and violence toward devotees.
On the economic front, Rajput analyzed U.S. decisions’ ripples in India. He lauded the independence of American courts while critiquing domestic ones, citing Rahul Gandhi’s Gujarat defamation verdict as a low point. ‘Their judiciary seems truly free; ours invites scrutiny on opposition cases,’ he contrasted.
Criticizing New Delhi’s handling of U.S. tariffs and Trump-era dynamics, Rajput accused the Modi regime of weakness. ‘Bowing to foreign dictates on oil purchases undermines our autonomy,’ he charged, calling for robust protection of India’s global position.
Reacting to UP’s Suresh Kumar Khanna on faith-related matters, Rajput stressed universal legal adherence. ‘Loudspeakers, jammed roads from rallies, religious site rows—law knows no favorites,’ he declared, reinforcing Congress’s commitment to fairness amid communal tensions.
