Delhi Police struck another blow to organized drug crime, nabbing 27-year-old Asif and 42-year-old Ikrar from Trilokpuri on February 21. The arrests followed meticulous scrutiny of call logs from ringleader Ameen Khan, exposing their pivotal roles.
Hailing from the same gritty neighborhood, the pair managed frontline distribution of prohibited smack, confessing to buying from Ameen and selling locally under the radar. Their involvement ran deep, as they were already on the run in a Mayur Vihar FIR under NDPS sections 21, 61, and 85.
This haul elevates the arrested count to five in the ongoing probe. Detectives are now dissecting the network’s supply chain, identifying financiers, couriers, and origin points to prevent resurgence.
Authorities hailed the operation as a testament to intelligence-driven policing. With drug abuse eroding youth and communities, such decisive actions signal a broader crackdown ahead, ensuring no corner of the city serves as a safe haven for traffickers.
