Commissioner Tushar Sumera outlined the operation’s humane approach. ‘Prior notices were served, followed by intensive door-to-door counseling involving 700-plus team members. We’ve even supplied tractors to aid voluntary clearances.’ Police deployment remains heavy to maintain order during the demolitions.
DCP Jagdish Bagarwa confirmed the drive’s success so far: ‘From early morning, proceedings have been incident-free. A majority of residents proactively removed their structures, easing the process for the rest.’ The focus stays on riverbank and roadway violations, ensuring complete clearance.
