Union Ministers showered praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious plan to revolutionize education through Artificial Intelligence, viewing it as a cornerstone of India’s cultural renaissance and tech-forward future. The positive remarks surfaced during Monday’s media engagements in New Delhi.
At the forefront was Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who outlined the multifaceted AI integration in education. He spotlighted the innovative app for teachers, a product of partnership with Bharti Airtel Foundation, unveiled in November 2024. ‘We’re seeing AI permeate India’s education at every level,’ he remarked, announcing the launch of its enhanced version via CK-12 Foundation to supercharge digital teaching aids.
Such moves, Pradhan asserted, mirror PM Modi’s vision of tech-enabled education steeped in Bharatiya values. Citing the Prime Minister’s address at a Rashtrapati Bhavan event, he highlighted the urgent need to shed colonial legacies by 2035. Through diligent NEP execution, the ministry aims to forge an education paradigm that celebrates India’s indigenous legacy.
Echoing similar sentiments, Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal affirmed PM Modi’s unyielding advocacy for national security in all his speeches, be it in Parliament, ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ or public forums. ‘It’s a testament to our resolve in securing the nation’s future,’ he declared.
Meghwal also touched upon a thought-provoking seminar on Integral Humanism propounded by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, examining its guiding role in the AI age. The session underscored how Indian philosophy offers ethical frameworks for AI’s balanced application.
With these reforms, India is not just modernizing education but crafting a holistic model that harmonizes ancient wisdom with AI prowess, fostering a secure and culturally rooted tomorrow.
