Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s Singapore sojourn hit a high note on day two with the signing of a pivotal MoU worth Rs 4,458 crore for Jewar Airport developments. Partnering with SATS Ltd., a frontrunner in aviation services, the agreement targets two flagship initiatives at Noida International Airport in Gautam Buddh Nagar.
At the forefront is an ultra-modern cargo complex that will serve as the backbone for air logistics in northern India. Tailored to handle diverse cargo from electronics and pharmaceuticals to farm produce, it will expedite exports and imports, injecting vitality into trade corridors.
Jewar’s multi-modal infrastructure—boasting expressways, metro, and rail—will amplify the complex’s role as a trade enabler, drawing businesses and spurring regional development.
Parallelly, a global-standard air catering kitchen will rise at the site, ensuring premium in-flight meals for Jewar operations and beyond, reaching airports across north India. This will bolster food processing units, streamline supply chains, and unlock jobs for thousands.
The CM’s tour is a masterclass in investment outreach, showcasing UP’s stable governance and mega-projects. This MoU reinforces the state’s aviation surge, with Jewar set to host these facilities upon commissioning.
Looking ahead, these ventures promise to reshape economic dynamics, positioning Uttar Pradesh as a logistics powerhouse and attracting waves of foreign investment.
