Bihar Minister Mangal Pandey has pulled no punches in dismissing Congress MP Rahul Gandhi as irrelevant in the eyes of the nation. In pointed remarks, he accused Gandhi of spearheading relentless campaigns to blemish India’s global stature, with the latest debacle being Youth Congress’s shirtless outburst at the India AI Summit in Delhi.
The summit, a landmark gathering at Bharat Mandapam featuring dignitaries from 20 countries, was overshadowed by the unruly protest. Pandey slammed Congress for consistently undermining national interests. ‘Rahul Gandhi’s identity now is that of a leader whose every effort to defame India flops miserably. The public has caught on, refusing to regard him with any seriousness,’ he stated.
Describing the incident as ‘reprehensible,’ Pandey highlighted how the shirtless demonstration shocked international guests and hurt India’s prestige. He challenged Congress’s democratic credentials: ‘What message are they sending through such vulgar displays?’ Despite their intentions, the ploy failed to gain traction, reinforcing perceptions of Congress as a spent force.
BJP’s Ashwini Kumar Choubey amplified the criticism, noting the summit’s scale with 140 nations involved. He branded the protesters as ‘anti-national agitators’ following leaders’ directives to destabilize India’s image. This, he argued, is part of a broader conspiracy to undermine the country’s rise.
Pandey’s forthright assessment comes amid heightened political skirmishes. It underscores BJP’s strategy to delegitimize Gandhi by framing his actions as comical and harmful. As public discourse evolves, such clashes highlight deepening divides, with ruling party voices gaining louder resonance.
