Bhagalpur’s transformation into a metro-powered hub is accelerating. The initial phase survey is complete and submitted, with second-phase assessments now on-site. This paves the way for imminent construction starts.
Ongoing surveys span Nastarkhani in Nathnagar, Rattipur-Bairia panchayat, Champanagar, Purani Sarai, Rampur Khurd, Maheshpur, Aliganj, and Sardho-Jiccho in Sabour. Experts are pinpointing station locations, optimizing track paths, and verifying technical aspects. A precise digital map will emerge, cataloging every element from edifices and streets to sewers, rivers, elevations, subsurface water, and power lines—the project’s foundational document.
Red, Blue, and Green lines will operate via two corridors: 17 km East-West from Sabour to Champanagar and 12 km North-South from Bhagalpur to Vatuvihar, featuring 22 stations. A key interchange near Bhagalpur station ensures smooth inter-line connectivity.
Prospective yard lands in Jagdishpur and Nathnagar’s university zone are under review for train depots and maintenance facilities.
The metro will revolutionize mobility, ending gridlock and enabling swift travel, while propelling economic vitality and modern urban development. Final reports will unlock the next chapter.
