Former NITI Aayog chief Amitabh Kant made headlines Tuesday in New Delhi, asserting during his book launch that AI’s genuine benefits emerge only through multilingual capabilities. ‘It must comprehend and communicate across local and global languages,’ he told gathered media at the ‘Smarter Than the Storm’ event.
As ex-G20 Sherpa, Kant outlined India’s drive to dominate emerging technologies. His publication examines AI’s pivotal influence on future-proofing economies and administrations. Prioritizing integration, he said, ‘Link AI to renewables like solar and wind via modular setups. Efficiency comes from adaptability and guided software.’
Co-author Siddharth Sinha spotlighted government initiatives like the India AI Mission, broadening access to vital computing and data. The India AI Impact Summit recently amplified India’s voice on the world AI stage.
Sinha emphasized bottom-up innovation for societal fixes. AI excels in predictive tasks—flood warnings, fire detection, data optimization, and wildfire surveillance—but its energy demands pose challenges.
Serving as a forward-looking blueprint amid global volatility, the book fuses climate responses, AI breakthroughs, governance enhancements, and economic tactics. It’s indispensable for policymakers, business heads, innovators, and agents of change.
