Honoring fallen heroes, Saha described Police Week as a tribute to officers’ unwavering service and sacrifice. ‘Your dedication makes citizens feel protected. Tripura’s law and order has transformed thanks to you—I applaud this triumph,’ he stated.
With 150 years of distinguished history, the force confronts modern threats head-on. ‘Criminals adapt with tech; we must evolve too. Advanced training is underway with state support,’ Saha affirmed. Statistics paint a rosy picture: 3,698 FIRs in 2025 against 4,033 prior year.
Property crimes plunged 16%, violent offenses 14.54%, women-targeted crimes 8.1%. Focus on females includes 24×7 helpdesks everywhere and nine specialized stations. Road safety’s zero-accident mission identified risks, deploying interceptors—yielding 8.82% fewer mishaps, 13% fewer deaths.
Zero-tolerance on drugs spiked NDPS actions, with 94.71% more ganja uprooted and 92.70% higher seizures/destructions totaling Rs 1,641.89 crore. Border vigilance caught 576 infiltrators, 102 facilitators. Cyber units get high-tech makeovers; hires include 953 constables (318 women), more incoming.
916 additional constables and 218 sub-inspectors greenlit. Police and admin leaders graced the occasion.
