With Holi just days away, Gautam Buddh Nagar authorities have intensified food safety enforcement, collecting samples from eight popular items across the district. The Food Safety and Drug Administration’s teams executed coordinated raids on confectioneries and food stalls, acting on District Magistrate instructions to safeguard public health.
The core goal is to deliver unadulterated, standard-compliant food during the joyous festival. Assistant Commissioner Suresh Mishra detailed the special Holi campaign. Food Safety Officers Mukesh Kumar and Vijay Bahadur Patel initiated with a dal sample.
A khoya sample was lifted from Udyog Vihar Ecotech-3 in Greater Noida. Ravindra Nath Verma and Malti’s team nabbed namkeen in Yamuna Gour City, Dankaur, and khoya on Sikandrabad Road. In Barola Sector-49, O.P. Singh and S.K. Pandey collected kalakand and besan laddoos.
Gujiya was sampled from a Sector-63 Noida sweet shop by Amar Bahadur Saroj and Ritu Saxena. Ghee from Dadri’s Railway Road dairy went to Vishal Gupta and Syed Ibadullah. These eight specimens head to labs for analysis.
Mishra assured continuous operations, with rigorous penalties awaiting non-compliant businesses under the FSS Act. This firm stance underscores the administration’s commitment to adulteration-free Holi for all residents.
