Defiance rang out in Ayodhya as BSP’s Vishwanath Pal proclaimed that the party scorns alliances and will fiercely contest Uttar Pradesh’s 2027 assembly elections on its own steam. Targeting the NDA and INDIA blocs, Pal accused them of masking weaknesses through partnerships.
In candid remarks to IANS, he stated, ‘Weakness lies in dependency; BSP embodies strength and will prove it at the hustings.’ He prodded rivals: ‘Those boasting power, why ally? Step out alone to gauge real voter pulse.’
Pal unleashed on SP’s PDA Day observance for Kanshi Ram, calling it Akhilesh Yadav’s farce. ‘Real honor was absent when Yadav axed the jayanti holiday as CM and renamed BSP-endowed assets.’ He cited Kasganj district’s rechristening and the scrapping of pro-Kanshi Ram initiatives as proof of SP’s duplicity.
‘BSP immortalized Kanshi Ram through districts, institutions, and welfare programs— all erased by SP upon seizing power,’ Pal lamented, underscoring the betrayal.
On Swami Avimukteshwaranand’s controversy, Pal stressed constitutional sanctity. ‘Politics must shun religious manipulation. Ambedkar enshrined equality for all. Governments should protect every spiritual leader and community from disrespect,’ he demanded.
This solo pledge positions BSP as a wildcard in UP’s high-stakes 2027 race, potentially polarizing Dalit votes and challenging the bipolar alliance dominance.
