In a glowing tribute, PM Narendra Modi described Sanand as Gujarat’s thriving nexus of innovation post his visit. His X post featuring a roadshow clip captured the palpable energy of transformation.
‘Over recent years, Sanand has undergone a phenomenal makeover,’ he noted. ‘No longer just a quiet spot, it’s now pulsating with development and inventive spirit. The roadshow amid scorching heat reflected the community’s deep gratitude for progress.’
Central to the visit was unveiling Micron’s ATMP center—a landmark ₹22,500+ crore endeavor, India’s inaugural under the Semiconductor Mission since 2023. Quick approvals and immediate groundwork highlight governmental resolve.
Fully ramped up, it offers 500,000 sq ft of pristine cleanroom, boasting a top-tier raised-floor setup. Geared for global clients, it addresses escalating needs in AI-driven memory and computing storage.
PM Modi envisioned Sanand as a launchpad for tomorrow. ‘Commercial production here fortifies India’s global tech stature,’ he said, invoking the ‘New India’ ethos of rapid policy-to-production transit.
Regulatory hurdles have been slashed, with APAs greenlit in months versus years elsewhere. ‘Clear purpose and growth zeal breed transparency and speed,’ he added.
This project catalyzes economic vitality, job creation, and tech independence, mirroring India’s ambitious semiconductor ambitions and regional rejuvenation success.
