Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav kicked off Holi celebrations with official wishes on Monday, calling for cautious revelry amid active school exams and heightened security needs. From Barwani, he stressed collective responsibility.
Interacting with press, Yadav noted, ‘Let’s enjoy Holi’s vibrancy, but remember exams in schools statewide. Protecting kids’ futures is paramount during such times.’
The MP Board exams for 10th and 12th grades, started February 13, end March 6— a critical period aligning with the festival.
Post-greetings, Yadav immersed in Bhagoria, the spirited tribal Holi precursor spanning Jhabua to Dhar districts. This spring-signaling, tourist-magnet event concluded its seven days with traditional elan.
Anticipating crowds, Yadav convened senior police brass Sunday night. DGP Makwana and team detailed Holi readiness via VC, from urban commissioners to rural SPs.
‘Exercise utmost sensitivity. Zero tolerance for incidents—act fast on everything. Dry day compliance is non-negotiable,’ the CM asserted. He outlined future audits of thanas via surprise checks, grading on efficacy and citizen input, with exam sites under extra watch.
This blend of festivity and foresight reflects Yadav’s governance style: nurturing cultural heritage while upholding order and education in Madhya Pradesh.
