Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Friday ridiculed the opposition CPI-M’s fixation on BJP’s supposed internal rifts, while his government racks up national accolades for development. At the BJP’s youth rally ‘Yuva Shankhnad’ in North Tripura’s Dharmanagar, Saha outlined the state’s remarkable strides despite its size.
‘Transparent administration and people-first policies define us,’ he stated. Tripura boasts 347 national awards and tops charts in deregulation and compliance. Even PM Narendra Modi spotlighted these feats, advising other states to follow suit during a key Delhi conclave.
The event turned poignant as Saha honored late Assembly Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen, who passed away last December 26. ‘His abrupt departure is a profound loss; he envisioned Dharmanagar’s growth and loved folk theater traditions. Together, we’ll complete his legacy,’ Saha committed.
Highlighting security transformations, Saha noted: pre-BJP era meant no safe trips to Agartala without escorts; now, peace blankets Tripura and the Northeast. ‘Opposition leaders daydream of BJP’s downfall and Left Front’s return, ignoring our 6 AM to midnight grind,’ he jabbed.
Saha alleged the CPI-M has reconciled with erstwhile violent foes—terrorists and arsonists—for a shot at power, showing zero regard for public welfare. BJP, conversely, lets achievements speak.
This narrative frames Tripura as an underdog success story, with Saha’s rhetoric energizing the base ahead of polls. Development triumphs overshadow opposition tactics, reinforcing BJP’s narrative of diligent service versus power lust.
