A wave of cinematic patriotism sweeps Madhya Pradesh as ‘Shatak’, the RSS centenary film, becomes a tool to engage students with the organization’s storied past. With state backing via tax exemptions, screenings are popping up in theaters reserved for school groups by RSS-BJP aligned bodies.
From RSS’s founding in 1925 to its present-day endeavors, ‘Shatak’ meticulously documents a century of service. Voice lent by Ajay Devgn animates legends like Veer Savarkar, Gandhi, Sardar Patel, and Netaji, all visualized through innovative AI and graphics under producer Veer Kapoor’s direction.
Satna’s Madhurima Seva Sanskriti Sansthan hosted 300 students for an immersive experience. The film’s depiction of RSS volunteers’ sacrifices in freedom fights and beyond left the audience inspired and reflective.
‘These kids helm tomorrow’s India,’ stated Dr. Swapna Verma, the organization’s founder. ‘Knowing true patriots’ stories via ‘Shatak’ sparks lifelong dedication to service and love for country.’
Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav’s group viewing amplifies the momentum, with more events planned. This blend of entertainment and education is hailed for promoting nationalistic fervor among impressionable minds. Detractors question the selective history, yet the film’s technical prowess and emotional pull make it a potent influencer in shaping youth ideology.
