Suryakumar Yadav was not included in the Indian team for the tour of Australia. There was a lot of controversy after this. Harbhajan Singh questioned the selectors. Apart from domestic cricket, Yadav has also scored regularly in IPL. For the past two seasons, he has been scoring more than 400 consecutive runs. On Wednesday, he played another match-winning innings against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Yadav was adjudged Man of the Match for his innings of 79 off 43 balls in the match played in Abu Dhabi. The right-handed batsman landed at number three and returned to the pavilion only to win his team. He hit 10 fours and three sixes in his innings. He scored more than 300 runs for the third consecutive time.
The 30-year-old has yet to get a chance to play for India. Despite his consistently good performances, the selectors have ignored him. Yadav has scored a third half century so far this season. Their domestic record is also fantastic. He has scored 5326 runs in 77 First Class matches at an average of 44.01. On the other hand, Yadav has scored 2447 runs in List A at an average of 35.26. He has scored two centuries and 15 half-centuries.
