Raipur, 06 December 2024/ All collectors have been instructed by the state government to ensure that they follow the prescribed procedure of issuing tokens to farmers under the system of purchasing paddy at support price. In this regard, the Managing Director of Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Distribution Association, in the letter sent to all the collectors, while mentioning the facility of making token application through the committee module and Token Tunhar Haath app, has said that 40 percent of the total token applications are made through the committee module and There is a provision to do 60 percent through the app. The timing for token application is from 9.30 am to 5 pm from Sunday to Friday.

After making the necessary entries during the application by the farmers, the day for selling paddy can be selected in the vacant slot from the date of application till January 15, 2025. In the committees, keeping in mind the registered area for sale of paddy and the purchase period, the daily purchase limit is also fixed, the information of which is available in the Food Officer module and the committee module. Under the daily purchase limit, the same ratio is fixed between the small, marginal farmers and large farmers applying for tokens through the Token Tuhar Haath app, which is between the small, marginal farmers and large farmers registered in that committee. Under the daily purchase limit, no ratio has been determined in any way between small, marginal farmers and large farmers in the tokens applied through the committee model.

For procurement of paddy at support price, the facility of 2 tokens has been provided to small and marginal farmers and 3 tokens to large farmers in the state. Small marginal farmers will be able to take tokens in their second token and large farmers in their third token for the entire remaining quantity subject to a maximum limit of 21 quintals per acre. If the quantity of paddy entered by the farmers in the last token is more than the purchase limit set in the procurement centre, then in that case up to 30 percent more of the purchase limit can be procured in the said procurement centre.
