    Raipur, December 4/ Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence in New Delhi today. During this, the Chief Minister extended a formal invitation to the Home Minister to attend the conclusion of Bastar Olympics and the Police Award program, which the Home Minister gladly accepted. Deputy Chief Ministers Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma were also present in the meeting.
    During this, the Chief Minister informed the Union Home Minister about the recent achievements of anti-Naxal operations in the state and the development works being carried out in Bastar division.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the efforts made by the government for roads, schools, health facilities and employment have won the trust of the local people, due to which the Maoist influence has weakened. The Chief Minister said that due to the joint efforts of the state government and security forces, there has been a sharp decline in incidents in Naxal-affected areas in Bastar region. Due to the efforts of the government, Bastar is now moving rapidly towards becoming Naxal free. Security forces continue to conduct effective operations, and development work has played an important role in this.

    The Chief Minister expressed confidence that Chhattisgarh will be completely Naxal free by 2026. He informed the Union Home Minister that schemes for rehabilitation of surrendered Naxalites and Naxal affected families are being given priority. Under this, instructions have been given to quickly complete the construction of 15,000 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, so that the affected families can be provided a safe and dignified life.
    The Chief Minister also apprised the Union Home Minister about the importance of Bastar Olympics and its impact in the state. He said that this event is an impressive step towards peace and development by connecting the youth through sports. So far, more than 1.65 lakh youth have participated in this Olympics.

    The Chief Minister also informed that 11 traditional sports including hockey, football, kabaddi and volleyball have been included in Bastar Olympics, which are working to connect the youth with unity, positivity and community spirit. He said that this event symbolizes a new wave of development in Naxal affected areas.
