Navdunia representative, Bhopal. A 10th class student living in Nishatpura area had started a love affair with her classmate. The student deceived her and even raped her. In a fit of emotion, the girl even got a tattoo of the student’s name on her body. When the girl became an adult and there was a rift between them, she distanced herself from him, then the flirt started blackmailing her.
On the other hand, the tattoo had also become a problem for her. Due to increasing stress, the student committed suicide on 14th August. After investigation, the police on Thursday registered a case against the accused under rape, abetment to suicide and POCSO Act and arrested him.
ASI Satyendra Choubey of Nishatpura police station said that the teenager living in the area had started a love affair with a classmate living in the neighborhood in the year 2022. Then the student took her to a hotel on the pretext of taking her for a walk. There he raped the student.
By 12th both of them had become adults, but there was a rift between them over some issue. When the student stopped talking to him, he started harassing her. After coming to know about the incident, the relatives sent the student to her aunt’s house in Guna in June 2024.
The student had started roaming around the girl’s house even after reaching Guna. He was also threatening the girl to make her obscene photos and videos public. Fearing defamation, the aunt sent the girl back to Bhopal. Meanwhile, the relatives started looking for a match for the girl, but the tattoo of the girl’s classmate’s name was also becoming a problem.
Ultimately, being mentally upset, the student hanged herself on the evening of August 14. After investigation, the police arrested the accused Karan Jain.
