Naiduniya representative, Rewa. A three-year-old girl Saumya died tragically after falling into a borewell in village Kasar in Singrauli district yesterday. On being found guilty prima facie in this case, Commissioner BS Jamod has ordered the immediate suspension of Public Health Engineering Department Assistant Engineer Mohanlal Patel, Subdivision Devsar, District Singrauli and the then Chief Executive Officer of Janpad Panchayat Chitrangi, currently Chief Executive Officer Janpad Panchayat Sirmaur, District Rewa Harishchandra Dwivedi.
The commissioner has taken this action for not following the instructions given by the government regarding closing the unusable bore wells and giving a false certificate to the government regarding the bore well without verifying the facts.
During the suspension period, the headquarter of Shri Patel has been made the office of Executive Engineer, Public Health Engineering Department, District Singrauli, similarly the headquarter of Shri Dwivedi has been made District Panchayat Rewa. As per the rules, both of them will be eligible for subsistence allowance. This action has been taken on the basis of the report of Collector Singrauli Chandrashekhar Shukla.
